Who we are

Isekaied is a dark fantasy app for exploring your city on foot. It is developed by Arxdeus ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

This policy explains what data the Isekaied app and this website process, why we do it and what choices you have.

What data we collect

Email address

We use your email address to create your account and let you sign in with a one-time code that we send by email. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your email address from Google.

Display name

The name you choose for your hero in the app.

Precise location

Your device location is collected while you use the app. When you start a journey, location is also collected in the background until you stop the journey. See the Location section for details.

Content you create

Things you choose to create and save in the app: marks, written legends and photos you attach to them.

Technical diagnostics

Crash reports, collected through Sentry, and usage statistics without advertising identifiers, collected through AppMetrica by Yandex. A crash report may include a screenshot of the app screen and the layout of its elements at the moment of the error, the device model and the app version. Access tokens are removed from these reports before they are sent.

Why we use it

• To provide your account: creating it, signing you in and showing your display name.
• To run the game: revealing the map, drawing your route, calculating your hero's progress and showing nearby things in the game.
• To keep your content: storing the marks, legends and photos you save so they are available to you.
• To fix and improve the app: diagnostics are used only to find bugs and make the app better.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Location

Location is at the heart of Isekaied. We use it to reveal the fog-covered world map, draw your route, calculate your hero's progress (levels, quests and medals) and show nearby things in the game.

• While you use the app, your location is used to update the map and your progress.
• During a journey, location is also collected in the background until you stop the journey. On Android, a persistent notification is shown the whole time this is happening.
• You stay in control. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. Core features of the app will then stop working.

Sharing

With friends

Your journeys, levels and medals are visible to your friends only if you turn on the "Share my adventures" setting. You can turn it off at any time. Your exact live location is not published to other users.

With service providers

Your data is processed by service providers that help us run the app: server hosting, crash reporting (Sentry) and analytics (AppMetrica by Yandex). They process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Storage and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists.

You can delete your account in the app: open Profile, choose "Delete account" and press and hold to confirm. Your account data is then deleted from our servers within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer.

Diagnostic data may be kept by our providers according to their own retention periods.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you
• correct inaccurate data
• delete your data
• receive a copy of your data (export)
• withdraw your consent, for example by revoking location permission or turning off "Share my adventures"
• lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

Children

Isekaied is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age required in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us their data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections, and access to it is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect your information.

This website

This website uses no cookies and no trackers. The only thing it stores is your chosen language, kept in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it next time.

If you pre-register on this website, we store your email address, the language of the page and the time, and create your Isekaied account right away, with a hero and the Pioneer medal. We use the address only to send one message on launch day; after that, sign in to the app with the same address to take over the hero. If you never sign in, you can ask us to delete the address and the account at privacy@isekaied.com, or delete the account like any other.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
